Casa Cook, the design-led hotel group known for its barefoot bohemian energy and coastal properties, is expanding. Marking its first property in Northern Italy, the brand has gone inland, launching in the Alps. Opened in August 2025 and named after its home village of Madonna di Campiglio, the hotel is surrounded by the jagged peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. So while those familiar with Casa Cook will find some familiarity here, the destination it inhabits \u2014 with a nearby glacier, lake and granite church \u2014 offers a striking change to what\u2019s gone before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Casa Cook is on trend with this approach to travel. As overtourism continues throughout Mediterranean coastlines in peak summer and HNW travellers increasingly seek cooler climes, the Alps have emerged as a top summer getaway. Thanks to the rise of \u2018coolcations\u2019, mountain holidays are no longer winter-only territory, but a smart year-round proposition (the property is an excellent base for skiing too). And Casa Cook is part of this shift. Casa Cook Madonna is nestled in the \u2018Pale Mountains, or \u2018Dolomites\u2019, part of the Southern Limestone Alps close to the Austrian border. The UNESCO-protected range is considered by some to be the most beautiful in the world, with dramatic features including steeples, pinnacles and rock walls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For those unfamiliar with the other hotels, Casa Cook comprises a selection of serene, minimalist and nature-inspired adults-only properties (think earthy tones which blend seamlessly into the terroir). Madonna joins existing sister hotels in coastal parts of Italy, Egypt and Greece. Each has a distinct identity infused by local culture, yet a continued thread of understated cool, and a shared philosophy of \u2018Parea\u2019 (defined as joyful friendship, shared experiences and soulful connection). Casa Cook holds space for the traveller to slow down and experience effortless living, with tailored wellness treatments and seasonal menus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This, of course, is a region known for design and style (you\u2019ll likely have flown into one of the classic art and fashion hubs of Venice, Verona or Milan to get here). So it\u2019s no surprise that the decor reflects these geographical style-forward sensibilities. High-quality dark leather and wood furnishings blend midcentury and contemporary aesthetics, large modern art pieces adorn the occasional wall, and soothing earthy tones flow throughout the property. The views, too, are ever-present. Large picture windows handsomely frame snowscapes that invite you to explore outside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the hotel\u2019s restaurant, with a breakfast, lunch and dinner service, as well as a more casual all-day menu (bed and breakfast and half board packages are available when booking). Its menus reflect the blend of Italian and Tyrolean cuisine, with dishes such as Trentino sp\u00e4tzle with farmyard rag\u00f9 and Trentingrana cheese fondue, casunziei filled with potato and beetroot, and a quirky dessert which represents Mont Blanc reimagined as a mushroom. There\u2019s also a bar and terrace open from 11 am to midnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Organic products from the Austrian Saint Charles Apothecary range are used in the spa treatments, which range from a magnesium ritual to a herbal refresh to reflexology.
