Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has introduced a new edition of its celebrated ‘SWISS Taste of Switzerland’ programme, bringing together four acclaimed chefs whose combined accolades include five Michelin stars and 68 GaultMillau points. Running for six months from 3 September, the initiative forms part of the airline’s broader ‘SWISS Senses’ travel experience, offering passengers a culinary journey across the nation’s four language regions.

In First Class, Olivier Jean of two-Michelin-starred L’Atelier Robuchon at Geneva’s The Woodward and the iconic Badrutt’s Palace Hotel in St. Moritz present menus inspired by French-speaking Switzerland and the alpine Romansh region. Dishes such as lobster bisque, miso-marinated cod, and braised veal cheeks with Asian-style jus showcase refined interpretations of Swiss gastronomy.

Business Class guests are treated to the bold flavours of Tanja Grandits of Basel’s two-Michelin-starred Stucki and the elegant Italian–French fusion of Lorenzo Albrici at Locanda Orico in Bellinzona. Highlights include Balik salmon with ginger relish, corn-fed chicken ragout, and beef tenderloin with herb jus, rounded off with inventive desserts like caramelised chestnut mousse.

In December, the chefs will rotate between cabins, ensuring evolving menus for long-haul travellers from Zurich and Geneva. Premium Economy passengers will also experience a three-course menu inspired by Switzerland’s regional diversity.

For over two decades, ‘SWISS Taste of Switzerland’ has highlighted the nation’s culinary heritage in collaboration with catering partner gategourmet. This latest edition continues that tradition, celebrating Switzerland’s gastronomic excellence and presenting it to the world at 35,000 feet.

Emirates has added another quality aspect to its award-winning First-Class experience, now serving the rare Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2009 across all routes departing Dubai. The airline is the only one in the world with access to this celebrated vintage, through its longstanding partnership with Moët Hennessy.

While Dom Pérignon Vintage is a hallmark of Emirates’ First Class service, the addition of the Rosé 2009 allows travellers to experience a bolder, more sensual interpretation of the Champagne house’s famed terroir. Where the classic Dom Pérignon Vintage is mineral-driven and precise, the Rosé Vintage is distinguished by its higher proportion of Pinot Noir, lending structure, intensity and a delicate hue.

The 2009 release reflects a generous growing season, its character shaped by fruit from Grand Cru vineyards such as Aÿ and Bouzy. After 12 years of cellar ageing, the Rosé reveals aromas of rose petals, orange oil and saffron, with vivid flavours of raspberry, cherry and cassis, deepening toward fig, liquorice and gingerbread. On the palate, it is rich and textural, with a supple structure and lingering finish.

For those flying First Class, the Champagne list is one of the world’s most impressive. Emirates has invested over $1 billion in its wine programme during the past 16 years, curating rare vintages and cellaring bottles until peak maturity. Its cellar in France holds 6.5 million bottles, with some wines not scheduled for service until 2035. Alongside Dom Pérignon, passengers can discover vintages from Veuve Clicquot, Moët & Chandon, and even exclusive Australian sparkling, Chandon Vintage Brut 2019, poured in Premium Economy.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has launched a completely renewed inflight service for its long-haul Business and First Class cabins, enhancing the journey from aperitif to dessert with the ambience of a fine dining restaurant in the sky. The transformation, part of the wider SWISS Senses concept, focuses on culinary sophistication, comfort, and Swiss hospitality, elevating every detail of the passenger experience.

New In-Flight Experience In SWISS Business

Travellers in Business Class are welcomed with a Swiss aperitif, paired with light bites such as olives and accompanied by the signature SWISS Alpine Essence cocktail. Meals are presented course by course on a neatly set table, with the addition of a soup course, an expanded cheese and dessert offering, and pralines from Aeschbach Chocolatier. New bed linen, Muntagnard sleepshirts on longer flights, and stylish amenity kits co-developed with Swiss brand VIU add layers of comfort, complemented by Soeder skincare products and high-quality headphones.

Refined Accents In SWISS First

For First Class passengers, exclusivity takes centre stage. Service begins before departure with Confiserie Sprüngli’s apéro flûtes and a welcome drink. Onboard, an amuse bouche trio leads into a trolley of delicatessen selections, seasonal sorbets, a five-cheese course, and Sprüngli pralines. Afternoon tea is now also offered on selected daytime routes. Comfort is enhanced with Zimmerli pyjamas, Rohner slippers, and Sisley care items, while the Alpine Valley fragrance by Soeder is woven throughout the experience in hot towels and pillow sprays.

Part Of SWISS Senses

These redesigned services are integral to SWISS Senses, the airline’s new long-haul inflight concept. Alongside revamped interiors, ambient lighting, and next-generation seating, the renewed dining and comfort elements ensure that Business and First Class journeys feel less like transport and more like an indulgent hospitality experience above the clouds.

Etihad Airways has redefined what it means to fly in style, unveiling its brand-new Airbus A321LR on the Abu Dhabi to Phuket route. For the very first time, travellers can enjoy the airline’s famous widebody First Class experience on a single-aisle aircraft, making luxury more accessible on shorter and medium-haul journeys.

The inaugural flight, which departed Zayed International Airport earlier today, was a complete sell-out across First, Business and Economy. Etihad’s new aircraft brings its award-winning design, service and comfort to destinations that do not usually see this level of premium travel, creating a new benchmark for narrowbody flying.

First Class Suites In The Sky

At the very front, just two fully enclosed First Class suites offer total privacy. Each has a sliding door, lie-flat bed, and space to invite a companion to dine or relax. Expect a 20-inch 4K screen, wireless charging, Bluetooth connectivity and, of course, Etihad’s renowned First Class service.

Business Class With A View

The cabin also features 14 Business Class seats in a clever herringbone layout, giving every passenger a direct window view and aisle access. Large 17.3-inch 4K screens, wireless charging and generous space ensure comfort for work or relaxation.

Economy With Smart Comfort

Even in Economy, travellers benefit from thoughtful design. There are 144 ergonomically crafted seats with more legroom, 13.3-inch 4K entertainment screens, and USB charging. Bluetooth pairing means you can use your own wireless headphones throughout the flight.

Wi-Fi For Work And Play

All cabins come equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi capable of streaming, video calls and gaming. Larger overhead bins and intuitive storage also help make the journey smoother.

With 30 of these aircraft set to join Etihad’s fleet, passengers can expect the airline’s sophisticated cabins to appear on more routes across Asia and beyond. For those heading to Phuket, this marks the start of a new era where every seat, from Economy to First, feels that little bit more indulgent.

Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) has revealed its most exclusive travel experience yet: the SWISS First Grand Suite. Launching in 2026, this new addition to the airline’s SWISS Senses cabin concept is designed for travellers who value privacy, comfort and personalisation at the very highest level.

The Grand Suite takes the concept of First Class one step further by merging two adjoining suites into a single, expansive retreat in the sky. With walls standing over 1.8 metres high, the space becomes a secluded loft above the clouds, entirely shielded from the rest of the cabin. It can be transformed into a bedroom with full lie-flat beds, a dining room where couples or families can share a meal together, or even a private office and meeting room for business on the go. Every detail is designed to give passengers freedom, flexibility and the sense that this is truly their own private space.

Alongside the generous proportions, travellers can expect all the hallmarks of SWISS First: gastronomic menus, fine wines, tailored service and discreet attention that adapts to each individual’s preferred pace. Whether it’s breakfast in bed as the Alps pass beneath, cocktails before landing in New York, or uninterrupted rest on an overnight long-haul, the Grand Suite allows guests to curate their own in-flight experience.

Enjoy up to 30% discount on your airport lounge membership with our exclusive Priority Pass offer.

The SWISS First Grand Suite will first be available on the airline’s new Airbus A350 aircraft and newly refurbished Airbus A330s from early 2026, before being introduced on the Boeing 777 fleet. It will sit alongside SWISS’s existing Single Suite by the window and the Suite Plus in the middle section, which can also accommodate two travellers together.

In keeping with its exclusivity, the Grand Suite will be bookable only through the SWISS First hotline with concierge assistance, and will cater for up to three passengers travelling together. This extra layer of personal service ensures that every aspect of the journey, from booking to arrival, feels seamless and bespoke.

Dubai International Airport’s Terminal 3 has welcomed a new era of luxury travel with the official opening of ‘Emirates First’, an exclusive check-in experience designed for Emirates’ First Class passengers and Skywards Platinum members.

As the world’s largest operator of international First Class travel, Emirates continues to invest in premium services that enhance every aspect of the journey. With 26,800 First Class seats available each week, the airline has introduced this dedicated space to ensure a seamless, private and highly personalised start to the travel experience.

From the moment guests arrive at Terminal 3, a grand golden entrance marks the way into a serene and beautifully designed private space. The interiors feature warm earth tones, marble floors, soft carpeting and plush leather seating, accented with Emirates’ signature bronze and gold finishes. Details such as Rolex clocks, an extravagant floral display, and a striking backlit Ghaf Tree pay homage to Emirates’ First Class lounges and aircraft interiors.

Passengers can complete check-in formalities from the comfort of their seats with iPad assistance, while families can relax together as baggage is seamlessly processed on dedicated First Class belts. Once through security, guests are invited to enjoy one of Emirates’ three First Class lounges, offering à la carte dining, fine wines, Champagne, complimentary spa treatments, and concierge shopping services.

The opening of Emirates First follows a series of recent investments in premium services. Earlier this year, the airline introduced refined onboard touches, including bespoke Robert Welch bowls for unlimited caviar, artisan cheeseboards, and an enhanced gloved service.

With 43 dedicated lounges worldwide and complimentary chauffeur-drive transfers in most destinations, Emirates continues to curate an uncompromisingly luxurious First Class journey from door to destination.

No matter where you’re headed or where you’ve been, a trip to the airport lounge can elevate your travels, affording you the luxury of time and peace of mind.

There’s really no question as to whether you’d rather be queueing at one of the many busy, on-the-go dining establishments and scouring the departure terminal for a place to sit or whether you’d rather be relaxing in style on a sofa in the peaceful lounge where you’ll find everything you need and more. No matter if you’re jetting off on an international or domestic flight, airport lounges are the perfect reason to set aside some extra time, take the stress out of your travels and enjoy your time pre-flight.

Why wouldn’t you want to escape the noise of the hectic terminals and allow yourself to reap the many benefits of the airport lounge? Arriving in plenty of time gives you a chance to savour the many complimentary culinary offerings and beverages (including alcohol in most cases) that are on offer. A wide selection of local and international bites can be found alongside sweet treats, desserts and drinks, all there for you to help yourself to. Skip the pre-packaged meal deals and on-flight reheated snacks and savour a taste of wherever you may be. From sampling some delightful European wines to some of Asia’s most typical delicacies, the sky is the limit when it comes to pre-flight dining.

Lounges provide plenty of comfortable and practical seating options for those looking to sit back and unwind and those looking to get to work before taking to the skies. Lounges allow you hassle-free connection to the internet through complimentary WiFi while providing the essentials for you and your devices to recharge. You’ll also find a range of newspapers and magazines to keep you up to date as well as being able to read anything you choose in a serene and sophisticated atmosphere.

There are tranquil airport lounges scattered all over the world and they’re waiting for you. With Priority Pass boasting over 1,700 airport lounges and experiences – the largest independent airport lounge access programme worldwide – and an app that’s chock full of benefits, there’s no better time to start taking advantage of all that there is to offer. There are flexible and tailored membership types to ensure you get the most out of your travel experience for less. It makes the world of difference knowing you’ll have somewhere to put your feet up and you’ll be able to guarantee this indulgence by pre-booking via the app to avoid disappointment.

While there’s plenty to choose from in each of the airport lounges on offer, some go over and above to keep you entertained and help you destress before your flight. Certain lounges are home to purpose-built gaming stations through Game Space where you can play the latest video games to pass the time or keep younger travellers busy while you enjoy the rest of the lounge’s facilities. Other lounges offer professional amenities such as dedicated conference rooms and workspaces for on-the-go business without compromise. The most appealing of all may be the wellness and relaxation facilities. Selected lounges invite you to feel at home with beds and showers to keep you rested and feeling fresh before you set-off while others offer spa treatments and even, in some cases, a swimming pool.

Frequent flyers can lessen the endurance test of a regular airport experience with a step away from the norm and into a world of untapped luxury. For travellers who embark on an annual holiday, there’s no reason not to ensure yourself the best trip possible with an indulgent and unparalleled experience before you even arrive. The best part is you don’t have to do this alone; you will be entitled to bring guests for a fee and spend quality time with your friends, family or travel partners in comfort and in style. There’s nowhere better to get excited for your upcoming trip and after you’ve had a ball, there’s nothing like a lavish airport lounge to ease your end-of-holiday blues.
